Comic Shapeshifters coming in March 2022

Explosive editor BOOM! The studios announced a new comic book The Storyteller by Jim Henson in stores in March 2022. The Storyteller: The Shapeshifter by Jim Henson is a series of four issues, each issue having its own creative team and focusing on a different “tradition shape changer”. The Storyteller: Shapeshifters # 1 by Jim Henson will be written by André R. Frattino with the art of Nori retherford, colors by Kieran Quigley, and letters from Jim campbell, and will focus on the ancient Celtic myth of the children of the swan of Lir.

Fans of this enchanting series can look forward to stories about the Knowledge Shifter from acclaimed creative teams such as award-winning author Darcie Little Badger (Elatsoe) with artist Alexandra Fastovets (Genu) and colorist James Fenner ( The Sacrifice of Darkness), illustrator and cartoonist Em Niwa and comic book writer Deron Bennett (Quixote) with artist Bruka Jones (Perdita Aside).

In JIM HENSON’S THE STORYTELLER: SHAPESHIFTERS # 1, Dain, an infamous power-hungry magic user and Lir’s brother-in-law, plots to steal the throne of Lir and his family by turning Lir’s children into swans and riding him. – even on the throne. As Fionna, the eldest child, tries to find a way to break their curse, the Swan Children are forced to wander from near and far for nearly a thousand years. They endure much hardship and sorrow but face the curse together. . . find comfort and strength in each other.

JIM HENSON’S THE STORYTELLER: SHAPESHIFTERS # 1 will feature the main cover by illustrator Mike del Mundo (House of Slaughter) and a variation of the cover by artist Mateus Manhanini (Miles Morales: Spider-Man).
