An original from Beat Comics:

welcome to Unable to quita six-part webcomic by Daniel McCloskey it shows how a dyslexic kid on the verge of failing in English went to college to write and eventually got a book deal.

City Cloud, his first graphic novel, comes out in April from Abrams’ Amulet line. He created this short series of autobio comics to tell the story of the creation of Cloud Town, and we are proud to publish them for the first time here on The Beat.

McCloskey is the founder of the Cyberpunk Apocalypse writers project and an employee of Mission Comics in San Francisco. He is also a second-generation cartoonist: his father is the author of Toon Books Kevin McCloskey.

He notes that today, February 2, is World Read Aloud Day, an event that “brings attention to the importance of sharing stories by challenging attendees to pick up a book, find an audience, and read aloud!” With that in mind, McCloskey dedicates this first strip to his 6th grade teacher (spoiler for a future episode.)

Here is the exclusive first part of Fail to Quit.
