Jessica Jones Trending Marvel Twitter Names Her Favorite Female Characters

0

Jessica Jones and Captain Marvel are trending on Twitter as superhero fans name their favorite female characters from the wonder universe. Comic book writer Gail Simone got the ball rolling on social media today by asking people to name their personal picks for Marvel’s Greatest Heroine, and it looks like two names in particular have risen to the top of the list. the battery.

Perhaps inspired by the fact that March is Women’s History Month, Simone – who is best known for her work for DC on titles such as Birds of prey, bat girl, and wonder woman – invited fans to choose characters from any medium. The only caveat was that they couldn’t be a mutant (excluding X-Men members like Storm and Rogue).

The responses were plentiful and quick, with a wide variety of named characters, but for many people the answer was obvious…

On the other hand, while many voted for Carol Danvers due to her goddess-like qualities, different fans opted for Jessica Jones due to her complex and relatable nature.

Elsewhere, the MCU’s only founding female Black Widow has had love.

Just like Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor, who will soon make his screen debut in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Then there’s Shuri, who defends brains over brawn.

And Hayley Atwell has made Peggy Carter one of her favorites.

Kate Bishop was another popular choice, thanks to Hailee Steinfeld’s breakout debut in Hawk Eye.

She-Hulk is also on people’s minds, given Tatiana Maslany’s upcoming Disney Plus show.

Marvel’s original heroine Sue Storm also received accessories.

Others opted for more underrated characters, including Red Sonja, Spider-Girl, Songbird, and monster hunter Elsa Bloodstone.

The popularity of this Twitter thread only goes to show how hungry there is for more content focused on female Marvel characters. Sadly, we’re still waiting for Kevin Feige to greenlight the A-Force movie that all of the MCU’s lead actresses want to see happen. But at least we get Wonders in February 2023.
