Meanwhile, Kate was all in white, wearing a pantsuit and belt with her hair in her signature loose curls.

Similar to Prince Louis’ memorable appearance at the Queen’s Jubilee weekend, Charlotte was seen making animated faces as she watched the competition.

On the final day of the Jubilee celebrations in June, Louis was seen making faces and jumping as he sat in the royal box.

Charles then read a special message from Queen Elizabeth, which had been placed in the relay that has traveled across the Commonwealth over the past nine months in the run up to the Games.

The Queen’s youngest son, Prince Edward, and his wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Princess Anne attended the Games on Friday.

The Commonwealth Games, originally the Empire Games, have been held every four years outside of wartime since 1930.

The Birmingham Games – which brought together the 56 countries currently members of the Commonwealth – take place from July 28 to August 8.

Princess Charlotte’s appearance comes after she and her father Prince William made a sweet video for England’s women’s football team, the Lionesses.

Alongside William, Charlotte wished the Lionesses good luck in their final game against Germany at Women’s Euro 2022 on Sunday.

“We both want to wish the Lionesses good luck tonight, you did incredibly well in the competition and we’re supporting you all the way!” The Duke of Cambridge, 40, started the post.
