Snoop Dogg Launches Animated Kids Show “Doggyland” – VIBE.com


Snoop Dogg seeks to impart wisdom to young people with the launch of his own animated children’s show, doggy style.

The program features a troupe of animated dogs teaching educational, social and emotional skills through song and dance. Officially titled Doggyland – Songs and nursery rhymes for children, the show recently released its first four episodes, which can be viewed on YouTube and YouTube Kids. New episodes of the series will officially air on Tuesdays.

Snoop shared his inspiration for creating the show, which he worked on alongside harry hip hop creator Claude Brooks and singer-songwriter October London. “As a father, grandfather and lifelong junior football coach, it has always been important to me to create positive and nurturing environments for all children,” the rapper said in a statement. “We wanted to bring our show to YouTube and YouTube Kids, which is free for everyone, so all kids can enjoy it.”

The 50-year-old multi-hyphenate added, “I’ve always wanted to create a kid-friendly series that lets kids be kids and is truly representative of the culture with everything from the music to the characters,” added he added. “When I started building my team, it was only fitting to partner with Claude, who created the iconic ‘Hip Hop Harry’ series, which set the blueprint for diverse children’s programming, and to October London, a talented singer and writer.”

Doggyland – Songs and nursery rhymes for children is just the latest venture Snoop is focusing on serving young people. The rap legend recently unveiled his own cereal brand, Snoop Loopz, in partnership with Master P, who shared the product’s packaging in various social media posts. “MORE corn, MORE flavor and MORE marshmallows is what separates us from the rest,” he said. tweeted. “If you like Fruit Loops, you’ll LOVE SnoopLoopz!! Snoop Loopz is the latest addition to Broadus Foods’ product line, which also includes rolled oats, oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup.
