It doesn’t take much to be transported back in time, whether it’s a song, a place, or even a TV show. With that in mind, Top10Casinos investigated children’s TV shows from the 90s and early 2000s to find out which ones we miss the most.
The researchers analyzed an IMDB list of children’s TV shows that aired in the 1990s and beyond. They then looked at the number of votes from each series and ranked them accordingly.
The findings reveal that Avatar: The Last Airbender was the most missed show. With a total of 299,457 popularity votes and a set IMDb score of 9.3Avatar ran on our screens from 2005 to 2008.
Will Smith’s 90s comedy The prince of Bel-Air ranks second with a total of 132,397 votes and an IMDb score of only 7.9. Many familiar favorites appeared in the results, ranging from classics such as Mr Bean (115,459 votes) and Boy Meets World (42,263 votes) to animated favorites like The Powerpuff Girls (41,710) and Dexter’s Laboratory (47,937) .
It was clear that many of us missed anime series the most as opposed to live action, with 14 of the top 20 results indicating this. Despite this, it has become clear that many well-known children’s shows from the 90s and beyond fail to offer many of us a sense of nostalgia, such as The Muppet Show (25,145 votes) and Kim Possible. (27,295).
