WarnerMedia Kids & Family is gearing up for NBA All-Star Weekend with a new comedy-focused sports special titled Cartoon Network Special Edition: NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest presented by Nike.

The stars of the popular CN superhero series from Warner Bros. Animation Teen Titans GO! are on deck to host TNT’s live half-hour special Inside the NBA studios. Its segments will include humorous analysis of the AT&T dunk contest, dunk replays enhanced with animated overlays and goofy sound effects, and surprise guest appearances by beloved Warner Bros. characters. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios.

The commercial-free program airs Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. ET, less than 24 hours after the dunk contest live on TNT and three hours before the NBA All-Star Game presented by Kia.

Beginning February 19, CN will run Teen Titans GO! marathons over the weekend, culminating in the premiere of a new episode of the series on February 21.

Warner’s latest special echoes Nickelodeon’s unique simulcast on CBS NFL Wildcard Game on Nickelodeon Last year. The stunt program featured guest reporters, original animations, and AR filters such as cannons that fired mud when a touchdown was scored. It was Nick’s most-watched show in the past four years, with over two million viewers, and it also generated over two billion social media impressions.

The success of the special led to a new weekly live-action series titled NFL Slimetimeproduced by Nick, CBS Sports and the National Football League.
