Star Wars Rogue Squadron movie removed from release schedule

Disney removed the previously announced Thieves Squadron film from its release schedule. The news came in a programming update sent to media today, which also included release updates for 10 other films in the company’s pipeline.

Thieves Squadron was originally announced on Disney Investor Day in 2020 and was targeting a December 2023 release. The film was to be directed by wonder woman director Patty Jenkins. Since then, however, the project has suffered production delays, and in May Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said the film had been “shelved for the time being.”
